Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy sets the ground rules for using secapi.ai responsibly.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of, and incorporated by reference into, the secapi.ai Terms of Service operated by Arcade Group, Inc. (operating as secapi.ai). It applies to everyone who accesses the service through the API, MCP tools, SDKs, the dashboard, or the documentation. If you violate it, we may suspend or terminate access as described in the Terms.

  • Version 1.0 · Effective June 19, 2026.
  • If a use is not clearly permitted and you are unsure, ask first at support@secapi.ai.

Prohibited uses

Do not use the service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.

You may not use secapi.ai, or its output, in any way that is illegal or that harms others, the platform, or upstream data sources.

  • No unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, or infringing activity, and no use that violates securities, market-conduct, or other applicable laws.
  • No market manipulation, insider trading, or other use of SEC-derived data to facilitate unlawful trading or disclosure.
  • No malware, phishing, or content that is harassing, hateful, or that exploits or endangers minors.
  • No use that violates the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.

Platform integrity and security

Do not attack, probe, or circumvent the controls that keep the service reliable for everyone.

You must access the service only through documented interfaces and within the limits of your plan.

  • Do not bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, quotas, request signing, or access controls.
  • Do not create multiple accounts or keys to evade quotas, pricing, or technical controls, or to act as a single application.
  • Do not scrape, crawl, or harvest the site, docs, or service except through the documented API within your plan limits.
  • Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service except under an authorized disclosure program; report security issues to security@secapi.ai.
  • Do not introduce malware or interfere with, degrade, or disrupt the service or other customers' use of it.

Data, redistribution, and high-risk use

Use the data to build, not to resell — and not where lives depend on it.

The redistribution and proprietary-layer limits in the Terms apply in full. Public SEC filings remain public records; secapi.ai's indexing, normalization, extraction, and enrichment layers do not.

  • Do not redistribute secapi.ai output as a standalone data feed, API, or bulk export, or build a substitute or competing dataset or service.
  • Do not present secapi.ai-derived data in a misleading way or imply that secapi.ai or the SEC endorses your product.
  • Do not use the service for high-risk activities where failure could cause death, personal injury, or severe environmental damage.
  • If you surface secapi.ai-derived data to end users, pass through protections at least as protective as the Terms.

Enforcement

We enforce this policy to protect customers, the platform, and upstream data rights.

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove offending content, or take other action consistent with the Terms. Where practical and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure, but we may act immediately for serious or ongoing violations.

  • Report abuse or suspected violations to support@secapi.ai, or security issues to security@secapi.ai.
  • Suspension or termination for an AUP violation does not entitle you to a refund of prepaid fees.
